This statue not only survives…it fights back.
An eerily lifelike Ellen Ripley statue from the classic horror-s/f sequel Aliens–from Prime 1 Studio and Blitzway–is available for pre-order starring tomorrow, April 7, and promises to be a highlight of anyone’s collection. Check out the photos of the statue–courtesy of news.toyark.com–on this page.
The impressive statue–which stands 22 inches tall on a Hadley’s Hope-themed display base–includes a pulse rifle, a flamethrower, an ammunition bag, a bag of marking flares, a fabric outfit and light-up LED features on the base.
When ordering from Prime 1 Studio, collectors will get an extra bonus: an Alien egg with an emerging Facehugger. Release is slated for between July and September 2023.
The 1/4-scale statue–the latest addition to the Ultimate Premium Masterline Series–comes with a hefty price tag, though. It will set your bank account back a cool $1,099.
Sigourney Weaver’s Ripley, of course, starred in 1986’s Aliens–written and directed by James Cameron. The sequel to Ridley Scott’s 1979 Alien, the film follows Ripley as she returns to the moon where she and her crew first encountered the alien creatures. The rest is movie history.
Aliens not only raked in between $130 million and $180 million on an $18-million budget, but it earned Weaver an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress.
